N2  - To the Editor.—The excellent article "Round Pneumonia in Adults," in the May 1988 issue of the Archives1 contains a report of three cases of round pneumonia. Because of the rarity of findings seen on chest roentgenogram, I wish to report this case.Report of a Case.—A 53-year-old man was hospitalized with a diagnosis of a possible mass lesion. He described a mild upper respiratory tract illness, with a dry cough, for a week before admission. On the day of hospitalization, he noted a fever and felt increasingly ill. He denied a history of lung tuberculosis. Auscultation of the lung disclosed normal vesicular sounds but no rales. The patient's body temperature was 37.4°C, and the white blood cell count was 9x109/L, with a normal differential cell count. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate was 74 mm in 1 hour, and the C-reactive protein value was 3+. A chest roentgenogram showed
