    With reference to the excellent article by Leak and Eydt in the Archives (139:425-428, 1979), I would like to comment further.Peripheral neuropathy may occasionally develop in patients receiving amiodarone (not yet available in the United States) therapy.1 The evidence suggests that amiodarone causes a demyelinating neuropathy.2 This complication is very rare indeed; however, it should be publicized.
