It touches almost all phases of medicine and is an excellent reference book for a general practitioner. I found the article "Mobile Intensive Units and the Management of Myocardial Infarction" most interesting; it describes units similar to the one operating at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York city which was described at a recent meeting of the American College of Physicians by William Grace. Each section of the book is well done, and the world literature of importance in connection with each subject is very well reviewed. There are some areas that lag a bit behind current thinking, such as "Surgery of the Coronary Arteries" and "Internal Mammary Transplant." There are more recent thoughts in connection with this surgical attempt to improve coronary blood flow than those described in this book. When considered in its entirety, I believe this SN - 0003-9926 M3 - doi: 10.1001/archinte.1969.00300200125027 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archinte.1969.00300200125027 ER -
