TY - JOUR T1 - ANgiograms, laminagrams, and lung scans in emphysema AU - Beerel FR, Vance JW, Cordasco EM, Wende RW, Toffolo RR Y1 - 1969/07/01 N1 - 10.1001/archinte.1969.00300170010002 JO - Archives of Internal Medicine SP - 8 EP - 2 VL - 124 IS - 1 N2 - Pulmonary vascularity as depicted by three methods: (lung scanning, angiography, and midthoracic laminagraphy) was evaluated in 18 patients with pulmonary emphysema. A lung scan is a satisfactory routine method for evaluating pulmonary vascularity in emphysema. However, if any question exists a pulmonary angiogram should be obtained, particularly if surgery is contemplated. The results of lung scans repeated at intervals up to 15 months were satisfactorily duplicated.
