With each new edition, extensive revisions, new chapters, and collaborators have been introduced, and the material brought into line with the major advances in the field. The sixth edition, like its predecessors, remains a "handbook" for reference on the major aspects of the common infections and infestations of man. As such, it should prove most useful— indeed almost indispensible—to students and practitioners of medicine, probably more so than any other currently available in the field (and there are very few of them).The author now lists 36 collaborators for 48 of the 63 chapters.
