It is a useful little book for anyone fluent in French who wants a quick and comprehensive review of the literature on this subject. The monograph was originally written as a thesis by J. L. Grémeau who adds three additional cases to the world literature; in two of them the diagnosis was made before birth. Like other theses written in the European tradition, the book is mainly devoted to an exhaustive review of the literature. This summation of facts and lack of personal editorship has affected the style. The value of this book does not lie in the literary quality nor in the newness of information, but in the thorough review of the literature.
