It has been well put together with convenient subdivisions, clear headings, summaries of key features, and generally clear and adequately sized illustrations. The bibliography has been selected judiciously. This should be chiefly useful to medical students and others who are interested in a simple concise text. It would not be adequate for those who are concerned with a more fundamental discussion of mechanisms and variations of the major findings presented. The text is written in a lucid style. Needless to say, not everyone would agree with all the statements. On page 19, it is stated that a prolonged P-R interval is seen in some cases of hyperthyroidism. The author does not mention on pages 25 and 252 that quinidine results not in a prolonged Q-T interval but in low T waves and SN - 0003-9926 M3 - doi: 10.1001/archinte.1969.00300120100021 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archinte.1969.00300120100021 ER -
