While it inveighs against one brand, it substitutes its own brand of prejudice. Its thesis is an examination of the nature, basis, and reasons for societal disapproval or condemnation of sexual deviations such as sodomy, sexual sadism, exhibitionism, necrophilia, anilinction, voyeurism—all erotic minorities. The author holds that homosexuals have their own organized groups and publications, but that the other erotic practitioners have no champions. And he sets forth to champion them in this tendentious little book.It is true that we have sanctions against homosexuals which are reminiscent of the Middle Ages. In fact, in North Carolina the law with respect to one deviation, sodomy, is based on the English law of 1533, which prescribes death. North Carolina has "modernized" the punishment to a jail sentence not exceeding 60 years!
