N2  - So much detailed information has been published on the general subject of intravascular catheterization in the past decade that it would be very difficult for any one person to write a comprehensive survey of developments in the field. Dr. Zimmermann has rendered a notable service in bringing together some of the authorities who have made significant contributions and who have brought new ideas to bear on the problems of cardiovascular disease. The result is a rather detailed compilation of most of the major advances in investigative approaches and their application to clinical problems. This book contains a wealth of information on both the theoretical and the practical aspects of hemodynamic studies. This book is not likely to be outdated and obsolete in a few years because of the fundamental importance of much of the material which it contains.The chapters of this book have been integrated into a well-balanced treatise.
