These aims are achieved in twenty-six chapters, written by twenty-seven experts in the field of tuberculosis.In spite of the large number of contributors to this book, the editor has kept repetitious discussion to a minimum.Although certain chapters inevitably stand out in a volume of this type, most of the fundamental aspects of tuberculosis are satisfactorily discussed. Due to the progress that is being made from month to month in the antibacterial therapy of tuberculosis, it would be impossible for the chapter on this subject to contain the latest developments.
