The commonest heart diseases and disorders are described briefly in the twenty-one chapters, some of them being just mentioned in a few words. New advances of medicine are also included. Electrocardiography has been omitted with purpose, because "a little learning is a dangerous thing."The author describes, in clear and simple style, the nature of each disorder, its clinical picture and diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. General treatment is condensed in a special chapter. There are several drawings, illustrating different shapes of the heart, etc.This book can be recommended as a time saver.
