AB To the Editor.—I refer to the article "Recurrent Pulmonary Atelectasis as a Manifestation of Familial Mediterranean Fever" by Brauman and Gilboa published in the February 1987 issue of the Archives.1 The authors claim that in familial Mediterranean fever, a presentation with atelectasis of the lung has not been reported previously. As the enclosed article shows, such a report was published in 1971. A correction to Brauman and Gilboa's article may be appropriate.
