The two main points that need to be considered are your pessimism and your reliance on the federal government as if it were all powerful.You speak of the hopelessness and enlarging anger of the public. I doubt this. Dissatisfaction is not overwhelming, but is being carefully nurtured by those who thrive on dissatisfaction. I really feel that there is no confrontation between the public and the medical profession as you state. As always, it is the extremists who are mouthing the confrontation.If we follow time proved ethics in taking care of our patients, the medical profession will be able to rise to the increased demands of health care today.
