RT Journal T1 NEw aspects of human genetics. JF Archives of Internal Medicine JO Archives of Internal Medicine YR 1969 FD November 1 VO 124 IS 5 SP 648 OP 648 DO 10.1001/archinte.1969.00300210130046 UL http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archinte.1969.00300210130046 AB Unfortunately the soft-covered British Medical Bulletins usually arrive badly mauled from their joust with the transatlantic mails. These are usually excellent reviews of timely subjects. The January 1969 issue is devoted to clinically oriented cytogenetics. Topics range from enzyme and protein polymorphism, through thalassemias and abnormal hemoglobins, to porphyrias and autosomal imbalance syndromes (Patau's syndrome, Edwards syndrome, autosomal trisomies), and many others. Essays are crisp and factual. It is a pity the journal is so dreadfully tattered.
