AB Should the "management of the infertile couple" be only in the hands of the obstetrician-gynecologist and other specialists? Roland intends that it shall not, and his book aims to tell everything so that the general practitioner may equip his office and go to work, if need be (since the book is short) tomorrow. As he says, Any physician interested in infertility and possessing an adequate understanding of reproductive physiology and the familiarity with female pelvic anatomy and its examination that is provided by a thorough two or three months' service in obstetrics and gynecology during internship has the qualifications to help infertile patients.The organization of the book reflects great experience and considerable thought in relation to the step-by-step program which the couple must follow if their problem is to be investigated adequately. The details are everything: "Scheduling the Appointment" (p 28); "Planning the Infertility Investigation" (p 40); and, in
