AB This book presents a comprehensive, highly readable, and informative survey of the law and related matters concerning emergency medical care within hospitals and elsewhere. Although it is not at the level of a basic legal reference source for attorneys, it should be of interest and value to physicians, hospital administrators, and all others who participate in emergency medical care.It is, of course, too much to hope that any book of this kind would be completely without fault. The following critical comments do not detract from the overall usefulness of the book:It presents a somewhat misleading analysis of Sanzari vs Rosenfeld, implying that a drug brochure was admitted into evidence to establish the standard of medical care; it was not admitted for that purpose.In commenting on Darling vs Charleston Community Hospital, the author fails to note that the Standards for Hospital Accreditation of the Joint Commission on Accreditation
