AB A nomogram was devised which makes it possible to type hyperlipidemias when fasting cholesterol and triglyceride values are available. This approach sacrifices some precision when compared with lipoprotein electrophoresis but affords a useful guide to classifying hyperlipidemias when lipoprotein analysis is not readily available.
