A lung scan is a satisfactory routine method for evaluating pulmonary vascularity in emphysema. However, if any question exists a pulmonary angiogram should be obtained, particularly if surgery is contemplated. The results of lung scans repeated at intervals up to 15 months were satisfactorily duplicated.
