Some of the illustrations show how various diagnostic tests are employed and work. Others show anatomical relations or variations or the pertinent features of a syndrome. Good illustrations of pathological specimens are included. Each color plate has been checked by various authorities for accuracy, and a clear concise text accompanies the drawings. Photomicrographs and x-rays are frequently reproduced in the plates to show features of disease more clearly.
