AB Very few readers will need introduction to the splendid colored illustrations of clinical medicine in this series. This volume maintains or surpasses the high quality of the series and is concerned with the embryology of the entire digestive tract, the anatomy of the abdomen, and the anatomy, function, diseases, and tests for diagnosis of the intestine from jejunum to anus. Some of the illustrations show how various diagnostic tests are employed and work. Others show anatomical relations or variations or the pertinent features of a syndrome. Good illustrations of pathological specimens are included. Each color plate has been checked by various authorities for accuracy, and a clear concise text accompanies the drawings. Photomicrographs and x-rays are frequently reproduced in the plates to show features of disease more clearly.
