Much space is given to evaluation of tranquilizers and stimulants, to cardiovascular diseases, and to infectious disease, and there is relatively little dealing with the liver, neoplasm, vitamins, and the thyroid. For the most part there have been relatively many fewer new compounds launched in these areas. Without the help of "The Year Book of Drug Therapy," it would have been difficult to keep up with therapy in the very wide variety of diseases an internist or a general practitioner may encounter in his work. Whether Modell's "Drugs of Choice" will provide too strong competition for this member of the Year Book Series remains to be
