AB This book can be recommended to the pediatrician and the general practitioner as a good over-all picture of tuberculosis in childhood in all its phases. The successful treatment of tuberculous meningitis with streptomycin deserves more attention in a book appearing in 1948 than the mere statement that the drug shows some promise. The advantage of BCG vaccination of tuberculin-negative young adults as well as the importance of immediate treatment of primary tuberculosis in this age period is particularly emphasized.
