AB TRADITION Osler's weekly medical clinic was to be attended by the house staff, by senior and junior students, and by other students only when space in back was available. The first row, consisting of chairs in front of the regular benches, was occupied by the interns, residents and visiting physicians. The other seats in front were reserved for the fourth year students, and the members of the third year class followed. They usually filled the amphitheater.Toward the end of my second year in medical school, I left the hospital library one day, hoping to find room to attend Dr. Osler's clinic.
