AB This is an excellent monograph on the subject of water loss by a pioneer worker in this field. Schiff considers the ways in which desiccation of the body is brought about. He discusses the pathologic, chemical and physical changes produced as a result of desiccation. The treatment of desiccation due to various causes is outlined. The bibliography is remarkably complete and includes references to more than 300 articles.
