AB In the preface the author states that he has endeavored constantly to keep in mind that the great majority of patients must be treated in homes and under conditions which offer limited aid to the physician. The book concerns chiefly the diagnosis and treatment of about 100 of the most common diseases coming within the province of internal medicine. It is what it claims to be: a practical discussion of ordinary diagnosis and treatment, in which etiology and pathology receive little consideration. It will probably be welcomed by many practitioners.
