AB According to the preface this book is intended primarily for those engaged in general practice. But, in the opinion of the reviewer, the book can be read with profit only by the most poorly trained physician or by one who has completely forgotten the technic of thorough examination of patients and of the commonest laboratory procedures. Chapters are devoted to elementary bacteriology and hematology, and a large portion of the book to the methods of searching for a focus of infection and of the treatment thereof.
