Postural hypotension has been recognized as a risk factor associated with falls.2 Some evidence exists that compression therapy may favorably influence the severity and symptoms of postural hypotension.3 Discontinuation of drugs that increase fall risk may also reduce the severity of postural hypotension.4 The effect on fall risk of these interventions aimed at postural hypotension has not been determined. This is also true for interventions aimed at most other fall risk factors.
