Calvet et al and Lin raised concerns about the inclusion of the trials containing low-risk patients. In our subgroup analysis,1 there were 792 high-risk patients, with 401 and 391 patients in high-dose and non–high-dose groups, respectively. Although the confidence intervals were wide, no significant difference was noted in rebleeding, surgical intervention, or mortality. We still regarded it as a hint that high-dose IV PPIs might not outweigh non–high-dose PPIs.
