While it has been rewarding to observe the degree to which the Aliki Initiative has been embraced by physicians, nurses, social workers, and others as “the right thing to do,” as the designers of the curriculum, we are aware of the paucity of evidence that what we are teaching our residents will allow them to engage in “high-quality decision making” or deliver higher-quality health care.
