RT Journal A1 Liss GM, Holness D T1 COsts of occupational injury and illness in the united states JF Archives of Internal Medicine JO Archives of Internal Medicine YR 1998 FD March 23 VO 158 IS 6 SP 680 OP 680 DO UL http://dx.doi.org/ AB We read with interest the article by Leigh et al1; the authors did an outstanding job of tackling the difficult task of estimating the costs as well as the magnitude of occupational injuries and illnesses in the United States. This report serves as a natural follow-up to the groundwork laid by earlier estimates of the burden of occupational diseases in various geographical regions, including New York State, prepared by some of the same authors,2 and Canada.3
