Patients who walked shorter distances (≤419 m) had 4 times the rate of events as those who walked the longest distance (≥544 m) during 8 years of follow-up. This important observation adds to the reports about the overall good correlations between 6MWT distance and future cardiopulmonary morbidity and mortality.2
