An excellent example is a report published in 2011 by the IOM titled Breast Cancer and the Environment: A Life Course Approach.1 This 468-page report available on the IOM website is a comprehensive overview of current knowledge of the environmental causes of breast cancer. Because of the length and unfamiliar format of the report, we believe our readers are unlikely to be familiar with the findings.
