In the article by Sparkes et al,
"Familial Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism With Anosmia," which appeared in the June 1968 issue of the
Archives (121:534-538), the authors
noted three errors which originally
appeared in their manuscript.
The sentence which begins on line
2 in the first column on page 535
should have read, "Total urinary
gonadotropin excretion was <0.15
milligrams equivalent (mg Eq) urine
post-menopausal-batch 1 (UMP-1)/
24 hr (range for normal adult man
is 0.7 to 3.8 mg Eq/24 hr)."
The first sentence in the third column on this same page should have
read, "Urinary gonadotropin excretion was negative at 6 mouse units,
and 17 ketosteroid excretion was 7
mg/24 hr."
In the second column on page 536,
lines 38 to 40 should have read,
"gonadotropin titer was <0.15 mg
Eq UPM-1/24 hr (normal range for
adult women is 0.7 to 4.7 mg Eq/
24 hr)."
