We are in the process of compiling an extensive tabulation of "medical records," eg, the highest (and lowest) recorded hematocrit, the largest known gallstone, the greatest number of units of blood donated in a lifetime, or the lowest recorded arterial Po2 concentration. There is probably no limit to the range of possibilities that could be considered.
We intend to publish the information in a format that will permit broad dissemination to the entire medical community, with the goal of providing a fascinating and curious sampling of medical facts and trivia.
For consideration, entries must be written (a photocopy of a laboratory, surgical pathology, or operative report will suffice) or photographic. The patient's identity should be removed or obliterated. Individuals whose submissions are judged by the editors to be "records" will be recognized in the published volume. No item will be accepted without the submitter's identification and address. Archives readers
