This letter is of no great importance, but is written in response to an example of ambiguity that appeared on the cover of the December Archives. In the middle panel, lower half, there is a statement, "The Mismanagement of Hypertension by Freis."When I first glanced at this I thought to myself, "This is very strange that the Archives would victimize poor old Freis by publishing an article about how he mismanaged the disease hypertension". Upon further reflection, however, I decided that Freis was probably the name of a hospital or town or some sort of medical group. That, however, did not seem to make any sense, and so I next assumed that it must be a new medication. On the other hand, a medication cannot very well mismanage a disease. I was not particularly bright that day, which may be typical, and had to refer to
