This little book is a collaborative effort between pathologist and endocrinologist designed to describe the dynamic changes that occur in pathological processes. For so vast a topic as a discussion of hypofunction and hyperfunction of all of the endocrine glands, with case histories, photographs of gross (and not usually seen) pathology, and line drawings of feedback systems, the book can only present a superficial evaluation of these endocrinopathies. It is difficult to tell for whom the book was designed. Much more detailed and valuable information is available in a number of standard endocrinology texts for clinicians. Students might find it helpful as an introduction to concepts in endocrinology.
