This volume discusses several areas of the body in which selective angiography can be employed. Basic angiographic equipment and techniques are included in the first chapter; subsequent chapters deal with the abdominal viscera, coronary arteries, head and neck, peripheral vascular system, adrenal glands, and kidney. Many excellent illustrations are provided. The authors have written the book for the second year radiology resident, but the presentation is not limited to that level.
Three chapters stand out. The section on abdominal viscera is an excellent concise survey of the more common problems encountered in this area. The section on gastrointestinal bleeding is, however, disappointingly brief. The chapters on the adrenal gland and renal homotransplants are also complete and well illustrated, although the inclusion of the latter topic in this book can be questioned since other topics of more general interest are not covered.
