ABSTRACT

Although this book is entitled an "introduction" it is more a concise review of the medically important protozoa, worms, and arthropods. These subject areas are covered by brief descriptions of life cycles, morphology, epidemiology and, in many cases, the clinical diagnostic, pathologic, and therapeutic aspects of the disease. The text is well organized and well written, and the illustrations are helpful although highly diagrammatic. This book should be valuable to those in medicine who every now and then need a quick and easy refresher on the many bugs, worms, and insects that plague man.
