The first of these two recent books on a related subject is a collection of communications read at a Hahnemann Symposium in November 1968. Hahnemann symposia are wonders of organization. First a large number of authorities in a particular field are assembled in one place to deliver prepared communications. Then, as soon after as possible, these are published in book form. Numerous volumes have already appeared, although few are as elegant as this one. The limited scope of the subject, which in effect is concerned solely with lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), has led to a relatively few communications. These have been logically divided into those dealing with research, hazards associated with nonmedical use, legal issues, social use, and clinical use.
As is often the case, quality of
