This is a hard cover publication of two single issues of journal initially published in soft cover as "Seminars in Hematology" in July 1969 and in October 1969. It does not deal comprehensively or completely with the subjects indicated by the title. Since these articles are already available in medical libraries and have already been adequately indexed, I can see little justification for republication with a hard cover.
There is a brief introduction by Holland to each of the two segments. There follow eight review manuscripts which deal with genetics, epidemiology, cyto-chemistry, and treatment of acute leukemia. Chronic myelocytic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, radiotherapy for lymphoma, and overall lymphoma therapy make up the last four papers.
While the individual papers in this collection may be of great value to certain individuals as a collective publication, I feel that it has little to recommend it.
