These are the proceedings of an international symposium on circulatory drugs held in Milan, Italy, in December 1967. "Detection" in the title means that these studies are intended to determine or elicit the effect these circulatory drugs have on the circulation.
Records of such proceedings are perhaps the next-best substitute to being present at symposia. However, I missed the question and answer discussions that are frequently recorded at such symposia because they are not here. An occasional paragraph labeled "discussion" is not that at all; it is merely the conventional monologue which precedes the summary of some papers. And another point I regret is that only a few papers carry summaries. While the papers themselves are rather short, a summary helps the retrieval of data. Of the 69 contributors, the majority by far are Italian, followed by German investigators, but all papers are translated into English.
