ABSTRACT

This is a new edition of a manual designed primarily for nurses who need to know how to collect specimens for laboratory examinations, what substances may interfere with the test, and enough about the test itself to understand why it is being done and what the results may indicate. The book provides no more than a quick glance at this very large subject. Nevertheless 145 tests are described and because it is a once over lightly treatment, it will probably be popular with many who have peripheral but important contacts with laboratory medicine.
