I wish she had kept the book shorter by avoiding belaboring the obvious and desisting from a certain amount of windyfoggery. For example, "The inevitable changes and adjustments that must be made by husband and wife and children when the Mother goes out to work can be a source of discord," is a pretentious way of saying that a mother's working may cause trouble.
