ABSTRACT

X-Ray Examination of the Stomach by Fredric E. Templeton is a long awaited new edition of a book which has been considered a classic since its publication in 1944. I was one of the generation who grew up in radiology using this book as a bible for examination of the upper gastrointestinal tract. At the time I first began to use the book I thought that nothing quite as good had been written on this subject. I still think so. It is an excellent book, well written, and well illustrated. Dr. Templeton is recognized as one of the men who established modern gastrointestinal radiology, and from his wide experience he has told us much. Large sections of the new edition, however, are identical to the old. There are only two additional pages on peptic ulcer; there is very little added on neoplasms.
