This is a small book written in outline form by a clinician for the use of clinicians. It has the advantage of simplicity without excessive oversimplification. The author has divided the material into three major categories: (1) pulmonary function, (2) pulmonary emphysema and the physiologic derangements encountered therein, and (3) a syllabus of the many tests of pulmonary function that can be performed today.
Because of the very complexity of the material dealt with, this could not be termed "pulmonary physiology made easy." But the material is presented clearly enough that with a modicum of work on the part of the reader, he should be able to understand the subject.
