The final report of the commission appointed by the American Council on Education to Survey Dentistry in the United States is now available in book form. The resources in four fields, Dental Health, Dental Practice, Dental Education, and Dental Research were assessed and prepared for reflection in the form of opinionnaires which were circulated to patients, educators, general practitioners, specialists, students, and lay people.
From this data gathering of opinions, a projection for the profession has been submitted in the form of recommendations. The central theme of all of these recommendations is for the expansion of resources in the fields of Dental Health, Dental Practice, Dental Education, and Dental Research.
