ANNOUNCEMENTS 

New Orleans Hosts American Gastroscopic Society.  —The American Gastroscopic Society will have its annual meeting on Wednesday, March 30, in New Orleans. Headquarters for the Society will be the Roosevelt Hotel, but the scientific sessions will be held at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in conjunction with a postgraduate course sponsored by the American College of Physicians.The scientific session will consist of three symposia. One of these will concern the treatment of esophageal disease; the second, histologic examination of gastric mucosa by biopsy and cytologic methods, and the third, gastric color photography.Inquiries regarding this meeting should go to Dr. A. M. Olsen, 200 First Street, S.W., Rochester, Minn.

American Board of Nutrition.  —The American Board of Nutrition will hold the next examinations for certification as a specialist in human nutrition during the week of April 11-15, 1960, in Chicago. Candidates who wish to be considered
