New Clinical Center Study on the Stein-Leventhal Syndrome.
—An investigation of the role of the adrenal gland in the Stein-Leventhal syndrome has been initiated at the Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health. Salient features in this syndrome include oligomenorrhea, hirsutism, and polycystic ovaries.The cooperation of interested physicians in referring laparotomy-proved cases is invited. Referral letters or phone calls will receive prompt attention and should include detailed medical information about the patient.Accepted patients will be studied for varying periods up to several weeks. Upon completion of their study, patients will
