Course in Postgraduate Gastroenterology.
—The American College of Gastroenterology announces that its annual course in postgraduate gastroenterology will be given at The Somerset, in Boston, on Oct. 24, 25, and 26, 1957.The course will again be under the direction and co-chairmanship of Dr. Owen H. Wangensteen, Professor of Surgery, of the University of Minnesota Medical School, who will serve as surgical coordinator, and Dr. I. Snapper, Director of Medical Education, Beth-El Hospital, Brooklyn, who will serve as medical coordinator. Drs. Wangensteen and Snapper will be assisted by a distinguished faculty selected from the medical schools in the Boston area.The subject matter to be covered in the course, from a medical as well as surgical viewpoint, will cover, essentially, the advances in diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and a comprehensive discussion of diseases of the mouth, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, spleen, liver and gallbladder, colon, and rectum, with
