—Sixty-two applications for grants were received by the trustees of the Ella Sachs Plotz Foundation for the Advancement of Scientific Investigation during 1939. Thirty of these came from the United States and the other thirtytwo from fourteen different countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and North America.
