ABSTRACT

THE AMERICAN BOARD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE, INC.  The American Board of Internal Medicine, which was incorporated on Feb. 28, 1936, completed its organization on June 15. The officers chosen were Dr. Walter L. Bierring, Des Moines, Iowa, chairman; Dr. Jonathan C. Meakins, Montreal, Canada, vice chairman, and Dr. O. H. Perry Pepper, Philadelphia, secretary-treasurer. These officers and the following six members constitute the present membership of the board: Dr. David P. Barr, St. Louis; Dr. Reginald Fitz, Boston; Dr. Ernest E. Irons, Chicago; Dr. William S. Middleton, Madison, Wis.; Dr. John H. Musser, New Orleans, and Dr. G. Gill Richards, Salt Lake City.The term of office of each member will be three years, and no member may serve more than two consecutive three year terms.The organization of the board is the result of effective effort on the part of the American College of Physicians in conjunction with the
